The well-known actress Gwyneth Powell passed away on September 8 at the age of 76. According to her agent Matthew Lacey, Powell passed away as a result of complications following surgery to repair a perforated colon.

In the BBC children’s drama series Grange Hill, Gwyneth Powell portrayed Bridget McClusky. Powell held the position of headmaster at Grange Hill from 1981 to 1984 and again from 1986 to 1991.
