Ciara is back, and she is making a huge statement about black excellence amid the current unrest around the country over racial injustice, police brutality, and inequality as a whole.

The mother of three, who has just given birth to a little boy, has released a music video titled “Rooted,” which was filmed two days before she delivered the new baby. The catchy song features Ester Dean.

Ciara was finalizing the release while still in labor with help from director Annie Bercy. The wife of NFL superstar Russell Wilson put out a very appealing video with an interesting message that reminded a lot of people of Beyoncé and what she has done with her last visual album, Black Is King.

The 34-year-old singer captioned an Instagram post about the release with: “ATL bred I’m #Rooted. Shot this video 2 days before delivery, Covid style! Out now! 💃🏽”

In a post-message video, the talented diva wrote: “To all my young Rosa’s and Young Luther’s keep marching. Don’t stop fighting for what you believe in. To all my Black queens and kings, continue to plant and spread seeds of love, hope, and pride in your tribe. Everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you. Stay rooted.”

Fans love what Ciara did, and one of them stated: “Wow! This song is phenomenal. Tears and chills. You just gave birth to an amazing legacy with your child and with this song.”

Even Beyoncé’s good friend, Kelly Rowland, could not resist praising Ciara. She said: “This one move got me rushin to see this vid!!! Get it Mama!!❤️”

Here is what Ciara had to say about her new track: “This song allowed me to celebrate the Black joy. It allowed me also to celebrate our uniqueness, our strength, everything that we need to survive and thrive is rooted in us.”

She continued: “You’re never limited by your gender or the color of your skin. That’s how I live my life, and so it’s important to me to continue to express that. And to continue to encourage not just my fans, but particularly our community, the Black community [to do the same].”
