Nirvanas Something In The Way Will Appear In New Batman Film Starring Robert Pattinson

A report from Spin Magazine this week claimed the classic song from Nirvana‘s Nevermind album, “Something In The Way,” would be featured in the upcoming Batman film starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Matt Reeves.

Spin reported that Matt was going to bring a much grittier side to the superhero franchise, and the addition of a Nirvana song must be just one example of the tonality and theme of the upcoming film.

On Saturday night, Warner Brothers put on a panel at the DC Fandome to show what the movie would look like. Reportedly, “Something In The Way” played throughout the movie’s trailer alongside Michael Giacchino’s musical score.

Batman will explore the dystopian elements of Gotham City, Spin Magazine revealed, and fans haven’t stopped clamoring for the release of the film due to Robert’s appeal and the popularity of the Batman series.

Regarding the classic song from the 1990s grunge band, according to Stereogum, getting Nirvana songs for movies has proven to be contentious in the past. For instance, “Something In The Way” was licensed to appear in Jar Head starring Jake Gyllenhaal in 2005, but the studio found it challenging to get the rights for it.

In other news related to the iconic band, it was reported earlier this year that the acoustic guitar played by Kurt Cobain during the band’s MTV Unplugged performance sold for a whopping $6 million this past month.

Reportedly, Nirvana played “Something In The Way” as the ninth song in their set during that performance. Fans of Nirvana know their popularity has only grown ever since Kurt Cobain shot and killed himself in the early 1990s.
