PARTYNEXTDOOR Is Frustrated With BET After Receiving No Nominations He Says I Am BET

PARTYNEXTDOOR hasn’t received recognition from the BET Music Awards and he isn’t happy about it. Hot New Hip Hop reported on a tweet from the performing artist in which he said that BET clearly forgot that PARTYNEXTDOOR was the “r&B artist of our generation.”

While he hasn’t received the accolades that he wanted from Black Entertainment Television’s committee and judges, there’s no question that the artist has been successful in the industry. For instance, he has worked with artists like Drake and Rihanna, among many other big names.

But when the BET Awards failed to reveal his name among the nominations this year, the Canadian R&B singer voiced his frustration with the network. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Lil Uzi Vert also believes he hasn’t received credit where credit is due.

In the past, the publication claimed, Lil’ Uzi Vert has suggested that his music is simply too creative and different to be recognized by them. It seems like the Toronto singer may think the same.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, PARTYNEXTDOOR asked if BET got so “complex” that they simply forgot about him.

PARTYNEXTDOOR went on to say that he is BET and Complex, the entertainment news outlet, at the same time. Reportedly, the Toronto artist didn’t receive any nominations at the BET Awards this year, in spite of the fact his latest record, PARTY MOBILE, was dropped this year.

The Awards ceremony chose to honor other artists instead, including Chris Brown, Jacquees, Anderson. Paak, Usher, and The Weeknd. It’s clear that the singer has a lot of competition in this particular area, including from The Weeknd, whose latest album was even more popular than his last.

This won’t be the first time PARTYNEXTDOOR has been in the news headlines over the last few years. Back in 2017, it was reported that the R&B artist was arrested by the State Police at Niagara after authorities apprehended two men allegedly transporting drugs at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.

As it was previously reported, the pair of men were stopped while crossing the United States border.
