Shakira and Pique's children reportedly left school in Miami due to complicated family situation

Publish date: 2024-06-21

After so much talk over the custody of Shakira and Gerard Pique's children following their split in 2022, Milan and Sasha ended up living with the singer in Miami (United States).

That's where they call home, except when they must travel with their father to spend time with him due to the custody agreement.

However, on October 14, Colombian media reported that Shakira had landed in Barranquilla to attend to matters concerning her father's health.

She arrived on a private plane unaccompanied, with a fan video showing she went from the plane to a van that was waiting for her on the runway.

Why would Shakira and Pique's children have stopped attending school?

Many wondered if Milan and Sasha were now staying with the former Barcelona player or if someone was taking care of them in Miami until the singer returned.

But almost a week later, news has emerged that the little ones have left their home in Miami to accompany their mother in Barranquilla.

This is what several Colombian outlets are saying as they provide updates on the situation involving Shakira and her father, William Mebarak.

He has suffered from health problems in recent times due to a hydrocephalus that has forced the singer to change her schedule on several occasions.

Milan and Sasha reportedly arrived in Colombia on October 16, though questions persist about the situation.

Celebration in the middle of Shakira's visit to Colombia

Shakira's family published videos of a calm celebration with few people to commemorate the birthday of Tonino, one of her brothers, on social media.

In the video, Shakira can be seen at the table, clapping and taking part in the celebration.

However the celebration, which took place at Il Grecco restaurant in Barranquilla, doesn't show Milan and Sasha.

This doesn't rule out that they were also there and that they have traveled from Miami to be with their mother and grandfather.
