'Sierra Burgess Is a Loser' stars walk the premiere red carpet
Netflix has seen its fair share of sleeper hits and cult followings, including the original film adaptation of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han and the groundbreaking Stranger Things. September’s Netflix lineup looks set to continue the unprecedented success of these originals with the coming-of-age film Sierra Burgess is a Loser at the forefront.
The film, written by Lindsey Beer, follows a teenage girl (Shannon Purser, Barb from Stranger Things) as she is mistaken for another person by a classmate (Noah Centineo, Peter from To All the Boys) — and the trailer hints at a budding romance between the two characters. With an amalgam of Netflix household names, the story will resonate with its young adult audience when it is released on 7 September 2018.
