Vachik Mangassarian Cause Of Death
Famous Hollywood actor, Vachik Mangassarian has died of Covid 19 – related complications at age 78.
Vachik Mangassarian had dozens of TV credits attached to his resume at the time of his passing.
The character actor was best known for his role as Qasim Zaghlul on the Marvel TV show. He also appeared in The Fall Guy, The A-Team, Sledge Hammer!, Murder, She Wrote, Murphy Brown, Falcon Crest, Jake and the Fatman, and NYPD Blue, amongst many other movies.
Mangassarian was of Armenian descent and kept close ties to his heritage all his life. He was praised for his 2008 performance in The Stoning of Soraya M., portraying the father of an Iranian woman sentenced to be stoned to death on false charges.
Born in Iran in 1943, Vachik Mangassarian traveled into the United States in the mid-60s. At the time, he worked in theater. He shuttled the US and Iran and in the 1970s, he landed his first role in Hollywood in The South’s Shark.
The late actor is survived by his two sisters Linda Lalaian, Elda Hacopian, and their spouses. He is also survived by his nephews Derek Hacopian and Ara Hacopian and his niece Aida Hacopian.
